FTP Instructions

Uploading files from either your Macintosh or Windows computer to our FTP
server is an easy, quick, and efficient way to deliver your project files to us. Following the guidelines below will help ensure a trouble free transfer.

Files can be uploaded to our FTP server using either a web browser
or dedicated FTP client. If you are using a dedicated FTP client, we
recommend using Transmit (http://www.panic.com/transmit) for the
Macintosh, or CuteFTP (www.cuteftp.com/cuteftp) for Windows.

First, make sure you have compressed your files into a single stuffed
or zipped file. Give this file a short but descriptive name - for example,
you can use your name, your sales rep's name, project title, etc.
This enables us to identify who sent the file. Leave the folder window
containing the file to be transferred open on the desktop.

IMPORTANT
Our FTP server is set up so you can easily connect and transfer
files from both Macintosh and Windows computers. If you have
trouble connecting or logging on, here are a few things to check:
Are you behind a firewall? If so, the firewall may be blocking access to
our FTP site. It should be configured so that ports 20 and 21 are open.
Make sure your FTP client is set to PASV (passive) mode
Some TCP/IP routers will also block outgoing access, and will need to
be configured to allow access to ports 20 and 21. Please check with your systems administrator to make sure your router allows outgoing access.
Do you have an onboard firewall active? Specifically, Windows XP firewall? Check here for information on configuring the Windows XP firewall.
Are you using virus protection software or Norton Internet
Security 2004? Please check with the software publisher to
determine if your protection software is blocking you from FTP.
